Program Information

Reflections Salon and Spa is a cosmetology student-operated business, under the supervision of a licensed Cosmetology Instructor. Students are trained in theory and practical services before offering services to the public.

Services include hair, skin, and nails. As with all training, speed and  confidence comes with experience. Please allow more time for services in general when visiting Reflections Salon and Spa.

Introduction to Personal Care Services and Cosmetology Services II – First Year

Our first year students study the Georgia Department of Education Personal Care Services Pathway Curriculum and follow the Georgia Board of Cosmetology requirements.  This includes history of cosmetology, professionalism, careers in cosmetology, bacteriology, chemistry, chemical textures, anatomy, nail and skin disease and disorders, properties of the hair and scalp in the salon.

Students are trained in several practical areas as well, which include:

  • Hair Design
  • Hair Styling
  • Manicures
  • Pedicures
  • Waxing
  • Facials

First Year students perform services for training purposes on peers in class and school staff.

Cosmetology Services III & IV – Services Offered To The Public

The Second Year students are trained in all phases of Cosmetology including advanced services in hair, skin and nails.  Students also learn how to operate state of the art facial machines.

Advanced services include:

  • Haircutting
  • Hair Coloring
  • Gel Nails
  • Microdermabrasion
  • Oxygen
  • LED Light Treatments
  • Micro-Current
  • High Frequency Treatments

Services are priced to cover supply and operations cost of the salon. Second Year students have the opportunity to work as an intern in the salon or local community.

Competitions are held on a Local, Regional, State, Nationals and even International level to allow students to gain leadership, goal setting and hone their skills in Cosmetology.
