Work-Based Learning at LCCA

We offer a variety of WBL site placements within our student-based businesses including Bistro, Corner Café, Design 360, Get Gifted, Meetings & Events, Reflections Spa & Salon, and Trades in Training. Please view the list below for descriptions and requirements of all LCCA WBL placements.

*It is typically a requirement for WBL that you provide your own transportation to your job site, however, you may take the bus from your home high school to LCCA for WBL if it coincides with the the bus schedule. Please check with your WBL Coordinator if this may be an option for you.

WBL Placements at LCCA

Design 360

Design 360 is a custom order production lab. We take orders from everyone from school clubs to local businesses. Our services include direct to garment printing, vinyl, embroidery, large format printing, sublimation, and more. T-shirts are our specialty.

Requirements

  • Excellent history of attendance
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Willingness to learn
  • Previous experience with graphic arts classes and/or Adobe Software is a plus (but not required)

Daily Task Examples

Thorough training will be provided for all tasks before they are expected to be completed independently. 

  • Operating lab equipment including the direct to garment printer, vinyl cutter, and heat presses
  • Completing orders based on customers’ specifications
  • Checking in and putting away inventory
